Retail Award Changes
The Fair Work Commission has varied weekend and evening penalty rates in the Retail Award. The following changes will be phased in, starting from the first full pay period on or after 1 November 2018:
- the Saturday rate for casuals will increase and apply all day
- casuals will be paid a penalty if they work after 6pm Monday to Friday
- the Sunday shiftwork rate will decrease for all employees.
